so ive been abosolutly terrible at this whole blog thing. Just to summerize what has been going on;

1. my math midterm ...a beautiful 85%! Im pretty sure thats the best grade ive ever gotten on a math test. So im pretty pleased about that.

2. I moved!! Into this cute little house with wood floors, a front porch and crazy bathroom tile. I love it. 2 bed /1 bath...4 girls. I know what youre thinking, " 4 girls to one bath? Insanity!" But its not bad at all. no problems thus far and its been a few weeks now. (i need to post some pics soon.)

Anyways...I need to get better at this blogging thing, even though i dont think my life is all that grand. I just find the idea of sharing life through the web creative and maybe a little strange at the same time ;) but i shall try to make this more frequent and exciting.

Mini Vacation

mini day vacation to san diego? im thinking yes. tonight we'll be heading down to my dads boat in mission bay and will be down there till monday evening it looks like. well start off by eating a little grub, playing some banana grams and just hanging out listening to some music on the docks. monday, well have some breakfast, do some surfing (hope its not too cold) and just spend most of our afternoon on the beach. its been super crazy these days so im just so ready for a fun and relaxing day at the beach. ill try to post some photos when i get back. happy sunday to all!

why is it not summer yet!? i know its only the end of February, but some plans seem to be materializing. so check this out, june----can you guess where ill be going for a couple weeks? .....okay ill tell ya.......costa freakn rica!!! some friends of mine were planning on taking a surf trip there, and i finally just caved in, committed and decided to tag along with them. so it seems that well be traveling the central american coast following the swells, frolicking in the tropical summer sun and spending pretty much all our time in the water. great right? i've never been, so im pretty stoked. well also be meeting up with a friend from chile, so that will be great too. great company, great climates, gorgeous scenery and experiencing a new place, and new culture...cant wait..

then...in august.....CHI CHI CHI...LE LE LE...VIVA CHILE!!! im finally going to be able to visit!! =] its been about a year and a half almost since ive left and i miss it so. my heart just aches for chile and my friends and the projects the culture and all the memories (both good and tough)

So for two weeks ill be down there, not enough time but ill take it! so thinking of chile, i looked through all of my fotos. i went a little crazy and posted a bunch below for your viewing pleasures. =] enjoy

So since it appears that I only have 2 followers on this blog, I'll have no fear in sharing something a little less on the surface, or at least try too.

From studying a series with some friends last week, reading this, Tozer raises the questions, When I think of God, who do I think and believe Him to be? What are the thoughts that fill my mind?

I close my eyes for a bit, "creator of the universe...my father...my savior."

Well these are all things that I know, they come from my head. But what do I feel when I think of Him? I cant seem to feel anything right now, and I don't like it. I want more than the thoughts and knowledge. Its ultimately a lack of intimacy with the God I want to know more of. I haven't spent quality alone time with God in a while. How can this discipline problem be broken? I constantly crave Him, yet I don't draw near to Him. I desire intimacy yet I don't allow it. Break me of this habit oh God. I know you are closer than my breath, and its me that must draw nearer to you. Remove whatever it is thats keeping me so guarded.

New Glasses.

Never in my life have I even ever been to an eye doctor. I just had to assume the reality and get a pair of glasses, since my eyes have been really bothering me during night drives and with the constant online schooling. Not sure how I like them. But maybe they'll help me pass math ;)

Recently I was flipping through the pages of a local magazine and saw that an artist (of who I've never heard of...because I'm not too schooled on art) and I saw that a Native American artist's work was being displayed at a nearby gallery. I did a little research on the guy and clicked through loads of images of his artwork....uh-mazing. I especially fell in love with his lithographs. The majority of his work is of native american women living in the desert. They each look so beautiful and like each has her own story to tell. I want to be these women. Here are some of my favorites so far...

Desert Thrifting

So I needed a couple new blazers for work, so I figured, hey I should try the thrift store down the street and see if they have anything good. (side note: ive been obsessing over these vintage thrifting blogs lately) bleubird and a beautiful mess

I didn't have much time to browse at everything since they were closing up shop, but I ended up finding a couple things.

So here we have a floral button up, velvet blue blazer and a ralph lauren linen blazer (only 10 bucks!) then I of course had to buy the medium and small mason jars that they had. But the most interesting find was this yellow ceramic pot which Im convinced looks like Pinocchio (Shrek version) Or at least I think its a pot... But here are some close ups, so you can decide for yourself if you agree with me about the Pinocchio resemblance.

So this past weekend at the desert apartment, in the midst of my boredom, I stumbled upon the coolest app for mac. Its a free download that converts any one of your pictures into a Polaroid. A Polaroid camera appears your screen and you just drag and drop the photo into it and it then spits out a sweet Polaroid in a matter of seconds. You have to wait for it to develop of course. Its super sweet and makes any photo look 10 times better than before.

So when this blog was first started, I was away from home and had intended to write my thoughts and experiences and share some photos with all those back at home. But for my lack of discipline, the blog didn't even last more than two posts. Well, I find myself away from home once again, wanting to give this a second try. I wasn't sure how to begin, so why not post a few photos of where I find myself now.
